Welcome stranger

Good day,

Chances are of course, you are not a stranger at all, but someone I have met before. Maybe once, maybe twice and maybe three times, and if you belong to the latter group, chances are, I have even given you a hug. (I do love a good hug). In which case; good to see you again!

If, however, I have not met you before; I am sure we shall become the best of friends. That is - as long as you agree to everything I say and swear to buy me chocolate every few days of course.

Though, there is of course the possibility that I know you though we have never met, that I've walked with you once upon a dream. Perhaps I know you. Perhaps the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.

In which case, I am sure I will marry you one day.

And while we are on the subject of dreams, I thought I'd share a few of my own dreams:

This one time I dreamt that my whole school was chased by a troll in the London Underground.

Another time I dreamt that I gave birth to my viola.

I also had a dream in which the assistant principal of my school dissected her cat and dug out its brains. Just for fun.

I do not know the meaning of these dreams, and neither do I wish to find out.

All I wish is to be successful and happy. And one does not need to know the meaning of life's mysteries to be successful and happy. All one needs is to ponder these mysteries and ask questions. Such as 'Are we really animals?' 'Does God Exist?' and 'Do we live in a world populated by robots disguised as human beings, each controlled by a pre-programmed tape?'

My friends, the road to success and happiness lies in accepting that we do not know the unknowable.

And these are my final thoughts for today. (Which of course can't be taken too literally, as our minds are constantly in action. Even when we are asleep, the subconcious will wake up only to ponder life's mysteries and ask questions such as 'Are we really animals?' and 'Does God Exist?' and 'Do we live in a world populated by robots disguised as human beings, each controlled by a pre-programmed tape?')

The mind is a mystery.

And with those final words, I wish you all a pleasant day.

Sincerely,

The Phoenix
